The finishing hole on the Rio Olympic course
00:12
is a par five that measures 571 yards for the men,
00:15
and 509 for the women.
00:18
The hole plays back into the wind and
00:19
is going to be critical for players to
00:21
hit a good tee shot here to get themselves in position.
00:24
The driver landing area has a lot of bunkering,
00:27
but if they safely navigate the tee shot,
00:29
now it's decision time.
00:31
The green itself is not guarded by any bunkers in front,
00:33
so it's reachable in two for many of these guys and girls.
00:37
There's a ridge that feeds into the green
00:38
from the left hand side, so if a player
00:41
can get a ball running and use that to feed it on,
00:43
it will be helpful.
00:45
But there's a very large bunker
00:46
between 30 and 70 yards short of the green,
00:49
so if a player totally misses their second shot,
00:51
then they'll have an awkward long bunker shot
00:54
to an elevated green.
