Alright, here's what I'm buying and selling this week.
I'm buying Vaughn Taylor, who gave us a truly
heart-warming story on Valentine's Day.
Taylor began the week as an alternate at Pebble Beach,
but he wound up winning his first PGA Tour title
in more than a decade.
Even Clint Eastwood was thrilled.
Okay, maybe thrilled is a little strong.
I don't care how old Clint Eastwood is,
you do not mess with Clint Eastwood.
(gun shots firing)
I'm selling the anchoring ban.
Golf's new rule is supposed to make a big impact,
but Bernhard Langer moved his putter about this much
away from his chest and won his 26th Champions Tour title.
Crafty move, Bernhard.
I'm buying Justin Timberlake's impromptu performance
on a tee box during the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
I mean, how awesome is this guy?
♫ I can't drink you away,
♫ I've tried Jack, I've tried Jim
♫ I've tried all of their friends
♫ I can't drink you away
♫ Woo hoo
♫ Rocks, I can't swim
♫ Out of this skin, I'm livin' in
(clapping and cheering)
Oh, sorry, my bad.
And I'm selling wearing matching outfits
at golf tournaments, like what Bubba Watson
and Mark Wahlberg did at Pebble Beach.
What is this, a father-son tournament?
Unless of course that's something
Justin Timberlake would like to do.
(golf swing swooshes)
In which case, I'm totally down.
Now onto more pressing matters:
This week in Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky
public displays of affection.
This week, Paulina wished Dustin
a Happy Valentine's Day on Instagram.
That was very thoughtful, Paulina.
DJ had a rough week out there.
And as always, we end with some random,
but important, questions to ponder.
Number one: Did I wear this cardigan in honor of
the PGA tour heading back to Riviera, aka Hogan's Alley?
You better believe I did.
Number two: Was Philomena the best movie choice
for Valentine's Day?
No, not exactly a rom-com.
And number three: with the 20th anniversary of
Happy Gilmore upon us, why wasn't there ever a sequel
to this classic?
Oh right, Caddyshack 2.
