At the beginning of the golf swing, your arms and hands,
00:06
shoulders start the swing, which then turns your hips.
00:11
The right hip should be turning back,
00:14
not sliding to the right.
00:16
This is for a right-hander.
00:18
It has to turn back and the left hip
00:20
has to be turning around.
00:21
You have to turn it in the old fashion barrel.
00:24
Want your hips to be turning in a barrel,
00:26
you don't want it to be sliding this way and this way.
00:28
You want it to be turning in a barrel.
00:30
Back, then on the start of the down-swing,
00:33
you plant your left heel and your hips start
00:36
the real fast motion going through that will
00:39
then carry on with your upper-body
00:43
to sling through the ball.
00:45
The lower-body is the generator of the power
00:48
because when you start the down-swing,
00:50
you plant the left heel, your hips start to turn,
00:52
you create, you've created tension on your back-swing
00:56
with your shoulders, that keeps the tension
00:59
of your shoulders as you turn your hips
01:00
and then your arms just fire on through.
01:03
That's the power, that's the first stage of power.
