Okay, my approach shot has found the bunker,
00:06
and I have what is commonly known as a fried egg.
00:10
That's when the ball is partially submerged into the sand.
00:13
Now most folks, when they enter the bunker,
00:16
are planning on opening the club face
00:17
of their sand wedge wide open like this
00:20
and plan to splash this ball out like any other bunker shot.
00:24
And unfortunately, the fried egg requires
00:26
a different technique.
00:28
What you need to do is actually square the face
00:31
so that it digs down underneath that bad lie
00:34
and propel that ball right out onto the green.
00:39
So when you've got that fried egg,
00:41
square up the face and you'll get it right out there
00:44
close to the pin.
