00:05
You know, long length putts, for mainly amateurs,
00:06
are a real problem.
00:11
We see players from here constantly three putting,
00:13
or heaven forbid, even four putting.
00:15
Many players, they try to attack the ball,
00:17
in other words, they think, that's a long putt,
00:19
okay, I've gotta hit it hard.
00:20
Well, you really don't have to do that,
00:21
so follow these four steps
00:22
and you're gonna see a big difference.
00:24
I want you to stand a little taller
00:26
than you normally do, so if your putting stoke is here,
00:28
get yourself a little taller,
00:30
so your arms are free.
00:31
Because, that's the second point,
00:33
your arms have to swing freely back and through.
00:37
You can't have little short choppy strokes.
00:39
Make sure, whatever you do, that you have
00:41
a long enough stroke, so think length.
00:44
If you can do that, it's almost like the weight
00:49
of the putter will actually allow you to make contact
00:51
with the ball without any real effort.
00:53
So, you want a nice, long, fluid stroke.
00:55
The final thing, the forth point,
00:57
feel that your right hand, right arm,
00:58
have an involvement in this.
00:59
You're a right handed golfer,
01:01
this is where you're gonna get your feel from.
01:03
Actually hit putts on the putting green, if you can,
01:05
just with your right arm only.
01:07
You'll be amazed how your feel will improve.
01:08
So, put your left hand behind your back,
01:10
stand nice and tall, let your arm hang freely,
01:14
and let the putter just swing back and through.
