00:00
So I'm holding a TheraBand FlexBar,
00:02
and I have tendonitis in both my elbows.
00:05
I mean, it kills me every golf season.
00:07
But I do use this for therapy,
00:08
and let me tell ya, it makes the pain go away.
00:11
So let me demo it for ya.
00:12
First thing to remember is,
00:14
if you have golfer's elbow, the inside of the elbow,
00:16
the way you use this bar is different than if you had
00:19
tennis elbow, which is the outside.
00:20
So on my trail arm, my right arm, I have golfer's elbow.
00:23
I really feel pain here from time to time.
00:25
So I take the Therabar,
00:27
pull it out in front of me,
00:29
grab my other hand,
00:31
pull it up, so it's twisted, extend it,
00:35
and then I release with my right hand.
00:37
I'll show it to you one more time.
00:41
grab it over the top and twist,
00:44
put it out in front you,
00:45
and then release slowly.
00:47
That's how you would treat golfer's elbow, inside, remember.
00:51
So what you'd probably want to do is
00:52
between 10 and 12 reps, couple of sets, few times a week.
00:56
Sooner or later, you're gonna strengthen that area.
00:58
It's gonna relieve the tension in those tendons.
01:00
It's gonna feel a whole lot better.
01:02
So what do you do for tennis elbow?
01:03
Well, I have that on the outside (chuckles) of my lead arm.
01:06
So I hold this upright,
01:09
I come around the top with my right arm, twist,
01:14
and then I release with my left hand.
01:17
Hold it upright, come around the top,
01:20
pull it back toward me, extend,
01:23
and then release with my left hand.
01:25
Now hopefully, you got the idea.
01:27
Watch this video again if you're not sure.
01:29
Just go through the steps.
01:31
And remember, tennis elbow,
01:33
hold the bar upright to start,
01:36
hold it out in front of you with your palms up.
01:39
Hope this helps relieve your tendonitis.
