I've seen a lot of putting mirrors over the years
that I've liked.
And I really like the PuttOUT.
There are a few things that it does very well.
Obviously the mirror itself
allows you to see whether your eyes
are directly over the ball
or slightly inside the ball.
Second thing is,
it helps you groove a really repeatable stroke.
And the way it does that,
it has these magnetic guides, which stick to the mirror.
And it allows you to stroke your putts back and forth,
and obviously if you have a wobbly stroke,
then your putter head is gonna crash into one of these.
The third thing,
the putting mirror comes with
this horseshoe-shaped putting gate.
Which actually forces you to strike putts
with a square club face.
You have to get the ball started
on your intended target line.
If not, the ball will bounce off the gate,
and not make its way all the way through, to the hole.
Let me hit a couple putts.
And by the way, I should mention,
that I'm stroking putts on the PuttOUT Putting Mat.
Which is sold separately from the mirror,
it's another product from the company.
It's an eight foot long mat, it's made of nylon.
Company claims the mat rolls to a ten on a stimpmeter,
which is similar to your average green.
So, let me go ahead and stroke a couple putts,
and see how we do.
So the first thing I notice,
is my eyes are directly over the ball.
I've got the alignment guides set up.
So obviously that wasn't very good.
Because, my putt struck the left-hand gate initially.
So, let me try again.
So that one went over the right center of the cup.
That one was in the hole.
Another product that the company offers
is a newfangled putting cup.
They actually call it the Pressure Putt Trainer,
it's really a ramp.
So, let me put it in position.
Again, it's sold separately from the mat,
which is sold separately from the mirror.
But when you use all three of these components together,
you have a really terrific at-home putting studio.
So let me see if I can use the mirror,
hit it through the gate, up the ramp,
and then I'll be awesome.
So that simulates a lip out.
So if the ball goes up the ramp,
but falls off the side of the ramp,
the company suggests that that's really a lip out.
What you're after, is for the ball to go up the ramp,
and come back to you.
And obviously, if you hit it through the gate,
and you miss the ramp entirely,
well, then you've missed the hole entirely.
I'm gonna keep trying here,
I'm gonna try to get the ball up the ramp,
and have it return.
If you wanna try to improve your putting,
these products could help you.
