There's a lot of confusion out there.
00:05
What is the ideal length of the backswing?
00:08
Well, the answer is simple: it depends.
00:11
Range of motion and flexibility come into play
00:14
and dictate how long you should swing the club.
00:17
I have a simple little exercise
00:19
to help you find your ideal backswing length.
00:22
What you do is you take your golf club,
00:24
two towels and kneel down.
00:27
When you kneel down, it allows you to get a full hip turn,
00:30
full shoulder turn and full arm swing.
00:33
And then, you simply swing
00:33
to the top of your backswing from there.
00:39
The point that you end up at is
00:41
where you should in every swing.
00:43
That is your ideal backswing position.
00:45
If you do this, you're gonna hit the ball
00:47
much longer and straighter.
