It's a pretty good period, it looks like.
It's pretty exciting for all golf, really.
It's kind of reminiscent of Gary, Jack, and Arnold
a little bit, with more than one guy we're looking at.
You've got those four guys that everyone's talking about,
Rory, and Jason, Jordan, and Rickie.
They're clearly all capable.
Rickie hasn't won a Major yet but clearly he's about to.
So you got those guys, but you've still got
an unbelievable supporting cast.
Phil could win the Masters any year for the next ten years.
Baba is clearly gonna be one of the favorites
every time he goes there cause
his game is so well-suited to the place.
I don't know if professional golf, at the top level,
has been this good for a really long time.
And the Masters is the tournament that showcases that.
It brings the best golf out of the best players,
and the most exciting to watch.
So like every other sport, hockey, basketball, tennis...
the athletes are bigger, they're better,
the equipments better, their knowledge is better,
the coaching's better. They're better athletes today.
And that's just a fact. That's not a knock against
us who played in the 80's and 90's.
That's just reality. 20 years from now,
they're gonna be better than today, and that's a good thing.
It kind of seems golf comes in waves.
You know, you had the Tiger and Phil era.
Now I feel like it's starting to transition
into the next guys who need to come up, step up,
and take over, and, you know, Rory's been out here
for a while and he's done a great job.
You know, Jordan's playing really well.
You have myself, you have Rickie, Dustin Johnson, Baba.
It just seems like we're getting some more players in there
that are steppin' up, playing some real good golf,
winning some golf tournaments.
Every time the Masters comes around,
it's just definitely one of those, it's very exciting.
This is something we've got to understand.
Golf's never been in a better place.
Can golf survive after Tiger has dominated for so long?
Well, look at it. All these kids were motivated,
inspired by what they saw from Tiger. It's a thrilling time.
But if we think that it's all about Jordan,
or it's all about Rory, or it's all about Jason,
there's gonna be 3 to 30 more guys out there,
some of whom we don't even know who they are.
So, before we get ourselves locked into the mindset,
Well, the next 15 years,
it's gonna be about these three guys.
Not in this sport now. (uplifting orchestral music)
