Throughout my whole career,
00:06
I found my visualization really important.
00:08
When the pressure really was on
00:11
I was able to step back
00:13
and see a ghost of myself actually swing.
00:17
See a backswing, see a ball fly,
00:22
and then see it finish.
00:24
And then you could then step forward into the ghost.
00:32
And I'd take that same visualization as a player,
00:35
to a piece of raw land.
00:41
I looked down a forest or a field and I'd think,
00:44
Ah, yeah I can see a golf hole, we can create this.
00:46
And some think that challenges everybody at every level.
00:52
In television, the same again.
00:54
I still prepare as a golfer.
00:57
I go and walk the golf courses, study the hole locations.
01:00
So hopefully I know instantly, the guys missed the green
01:03
to the right, the pin's over there, that's easy up and down,
01:05
or that's impossible.
01:07
Understanding the players,
01:08
obviously I can draw on experiences
01:10
because I've been there, walked the back 9 of the Major.
01:13
Walked down the 18th hole to win an open.
01:16
When the young guys come up to you and,
01:17
a lot of them will quiz you about Augusta.
01:19
I'm quite happy to give my two penn'orth as we call it.
01:25
I think the desire for greatness is in the individual.
01:29
Amazing to think what TaylorMade has done over the years
01:31
as the advancement of the technology,
01:33
is giving more golfers that dream of being great.
01:37
Putting this in the players hands now, I mean,
01:39
their very fortunate.
01:42
But the greatest ones can make something happen
01:45
when it needs to happen.
01:48
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
01:50
Rain or shine, you just keep charging yourself.
