Hi, and welcome to
Are You Smarter than a Golf Pro: LPGA edition.
Now the way we play this game, okay?
We're not playing the game yet.
The way that we play this game is I'm going to
give you three clues about a golf pro in the LPGA,
and the first one to buzz in gets the point.
And if you answer incorrectly, then the other contestants
are gonna get a chance to steal that point, make sense?
Let's get started.
Before turning professional, I was the world's number 1
ranked women's amateur golfer for 130 weeks.
In April of 2014, I was named one of Time Magazine's
30 most influential teens.
That was Jessica.
You are correct. Wow.
Good Job. Alright.
According to my parents, I learned most of the letters
of the alphabet before I turned one
and learned to read before I turned two.
Who is the smartest golfer you know?
Number two: Like Tiger Woods, I went to school
at Stanford University--
Oh God. Wiezy.
You--I got that one. Yeah!
I got that one too. I buzzed in.
[Host] Let's have a, let's have a full,
the name, the full name.
Paula, we're giving you the chance to answer.
What's the full name?
[Host] That's correct.
Yay! I knew it after
that first question.
(buzzer buzzes) My first year on tour, 1997,
was the year our current number one player,
Lydia Ko, was born.
I am number three on the LPGA career money list,
with almost $17 million in earnings, and only--
[Host] That's fine.
I was gonna guess Lauren Archer.
That is incorrect.
(gasps) Would you like to hear
the rest of the clue Yeah, go.
before you buzz in?
Well now you're gonna win it.
and only Annika Sorenstam and Karrie Webb
have earned more.
Oh, come on. And technically you get
the third clue here as well.
My Birdies for Breast Cancer organization has raised
more than three million-- (buzzer buzzes)
Yes? Cristie Kerr?
[Host] It is Cristie Kerr.
I had a feeling. That is a point for Jessica.
Nice work. From the first one.
I have won four times on the LPGA tour,
and Anna Nordqvist finished second,
one shot behind in the third of my four wins.
(laughs) (buzzer buzzes)
[Host] That's correct!
Yay! Oh my god.
[Host] Congratulations, you know yourself very well.
I also have here that your mom and dad
were both professional tennis players?
And your dad won the 1998 Australia Open
and was ranked as high as number two in the world.
Yes. That's an impressive family.
Playing for Team Europe, I made the first hole-in-one
in Solheim Cup-- (multiple buzzers buzz)
That was Anna?
That is correct.
Anna, I would like to ask you about this next clue, here.
I have something that states that you won
the fifth LPGA tour title in your career.
Something happened to the trophy?
Yeah it was in a thousand pieces when
it arrived after I won this year, yeah.
It was the glass trophy.
What had happened to it?
It was in a thousand pieces?
Yeah, someone didn't really pack it up
in a proper box (laughs).
Alright, next player here.
I won five consecutive starts and nine tournaments
altogether, and I'm the only player to win
rookie of the year and player of the year
in the same season on the LPGA Tour.
It's Nancy Lopez, that's correct.
Wow, good one. Very nice.
I have won multiple times on the LPGA Tour,
live in Orlando, and belong
to Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club.
That is right, Anna!
That was good. I knew that one, too.
Lorena Ochoa was one of my teammates
when we played at the University of Arizona.
That is correct. Yes!
Like a lot of LPGA players, I'm from Seoul, South Korea.
However, I might be the only one who's
a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
I heard Anna.
Sei Young Kim.
This game is rigged. That is correct.
I was the number two ranked player in the world
and still living in my parent's house,
with pictures of Jessica Simpson on my wall.
You can do it, it's me, guys.
That is Paula Creamer, that's right.
Me! Jess, are you still a big
Jessica Simpson fan?
Yeah, I still like Jessica Simpson.
Do you still have her posters on your wall?
No, I don't You took those down?
