Here's a situation you encounter all the time
00:05
when you hit your ball in the rough.
00:07
The ball sits down in the grass.
00:09
It's almost like a buried lie.
00:10
Couple things you have to do differently
00:12
to get this ball out of this lie.
00:14
No. 1, you can't come in
00:16
with a shallow approach to the ball
00:18
because you'll hit the grass and just chunk it.
00:20
So what you want to do is open your club face first,
00:23
so when you come down into it,
00:25
you can jump the ball up out of the grass.
00:27
Play the ball about the middle of our stance
00:29
or a little towards the back,
00:31
and then as you come down you're gonna feel like
00:32
you've pulled up out of the club right towards the ball.
00:36
This will allow you to have a steep angle
00:37
into the back of the ball.
00:39
Club face open, and feel like you
00:43
pull up out of the ball,
00:44
club right through into the back of the ball.
00:47
The loft that you created with the open cup face
00:49
and the steepness of the angle
00:51
will jump it right up out of that buried lie.
