Getting out of pot bunkers is
00:06
one of the ultimate challenges.
00:07
It's pretty easy to do if you have some good strategy
00:10
and a couple good, solid ideas about how to do it.
00:14
One of the best approaches, I think,
00:16
is to approach it like a big pitch shot,
00:18
where you're gonna take a big golf swing
00:21
and you want the ball and the sand and the club
00:25
to go into the same direction
00:26
that you want the ball to go in.
00:28
And another key part of that is to make sure
00:31
that you follow through with your hands high.
00:35
Just remember that the ball position should be
00:36
a little more forward than usual.
00:38
And then, the other thing you need to do is open your club.
00:41
That will help you get some elevation immediately.
00:44
And then, you also have to read the terrain of the sand.
00:47
If it's an uphill bunker shot,
00:49
you definitely have to have more weight on your back foot.
00:52
Biggest thing to do
00:53
is make sure you take a big, smooth swing
00:55
and have a very long follow through.
00:57
If you do that, that ball's coming out of the bunker.
