Well, putting long distance putts from off the green
00:06
is pretty easy and it doesn't require
00:08
a lot of changes in your technique.
00:10
If it's longer you definitely have to have a longer swing,
00:13
just like chipping, same thing.
00:15
It's really normal for there to be a little
00:17
wrist break, putter goes back pretty far
00:20
and you have a longer follow-through.
00:22
It's really important to kind of take a look
00:24
at the terrain of the green and try
00:25
to figure out what the ball is gonna do
00:27
when it reaches the green in terms of break.
00:29
For long range putts it's probably easier
00:31
and less nerve-racking to pick areas instead of spots.
00:34
So what you want to do is kind of plan ahead
00:37
and make sure you play enough breaks
00:39
so that the ball ideally is always moving toward the hole.
00:42
That's the way you can get the ball close to the hole
00:44
and sometimes even sink it from long range.
