So, you're probably wondering what to wear
00:08
and what to bring if you want to play golf.
00:10
Dress codes vary from course to course,
00:12
but nearly every course permits you to play
00:13
in a collard shirt and dress shorts.
00:15
T-shirts, jeans, and work out clothes are typically
00:18
not allowed, but if that's what you want to rock,
00:20
call ahead and see if it's okay.
00:22
Most people show up to the course wearing their golf clothes
00:24
and either put their shoes on in the parking lot or in the
00:26
locker room, but it's perfectly fine to change clothes at
00:29
the course if you're coming from work or
00:30
the beach or workout.
00:32
As far as equipment, I recommend a golf bag with at least
00:35
six clubs including a putter and several golf balls.
00:40
Golf shoes and a glove are a good idea too
00:42
but comfortable pair of sneakers can do it in a pinch.
00:45
And you don't have to wear a glove, but don't blame me
00:47
if you get a blister or two.
00:48
Right handed golfers wear them on their left hand,
00:50
and that's the hand that takes the most punishment.
00:53
Don't have any of this stuff?
00:54
That's usually not an issue.
00:56
Many courses have rental sets of clubs and
00:57
you can buy balls and a glove there too.
00:59
If you're left handed, make sure you tell them that
01:01
in advance because those sets aren't always available
01:04
as right handed sets.
