If you're like most players,
00:01
you're probably pretty concerned
00:02
about the mechanics of your golf swing,
00:04
but the reality is one of the easiest things you can do
00:06
right now to start hitting better shots on the golf course
00:09
is improving the quality of your rhythm,
00:12
and for most of you, that simply means
00:14
creating a nice smooth takeaway.
00:15
So, what I want you to do is work on this drill.
00:17
I actually saw Rick Folwer doing this
00:18
one year at the US Open, it's called the roll out,
00:21
and here's how you do it.
00:23
Put two balls on the ground
00:24
and then put your club head right in between them.
00:26
Your goal is to create a nice takeaway
00:29
where you roll the second ball
00:30
just a couple of feet away from the target.
00:32
If you create a smooth takeaway,
00:34
you get a nice smooth transition,
00:36
you create a smooth transition,
00:38
you'll create nice smooth acceleration
00:39
into the back of the golf ball,
00:41
and that's when you're gonna hit your best golf shots.
00:43
This is a great drill, it really works.
00:45
Next time you go practice, think smooth it out
00:47
to roll it out and you're sure to play a better game.
