How the StanceCheck iZone Training Aid Improves Consistent Contact

Many golfers struggle with excessive head movement during the swing. Some sway or turn their heads away from the ball on the backswing, and others look up too quickly on the downswing. Both faults trigger inconsistent contact.

The StanceCheck iZone Golf Vision Trainer is designed to
00:08
help people who move their head too much on
00:10
the back swing and the down swing.
00:12
So this set of glasses has two removable lenses.
00:15
Obviously you their both black, you can't see through them.
00:18
So let me demonstrate how it works on the back swing.
00:20
I'm gonna remove the right hand lens.
00:24
So typically there are two faults that occur on
00:26
the back swing.
00:27
In some instances the player sways too far off the ball.
00:32
In other instances he just turns his head and
00:35
rotates too far off the ball.
00:37
In both cases you can't see the ball anymore.
00:40
Really, if your turning your head more than about three or
00:43
four inches, you've lost sight of the ball on
00:45
the back swing.
00:46
Which obviously will effect the quality of impact
00:49
coming down through the ball.
00:51
So speaking of the down swing, I'm gonna show you how
00:53
it works on the down swing.
00:55
I'm gonna pop out the left lens, pop in the right lens.
00:58
So where this comes in handy, some players tend to peek
01:02
where they look up too soon on the down swing.
01:05
So I'm going to start at the top of the back swing.
01:07
And if you picture this, I'm coming down, coming down and
01:10
I take a look too early and I've lost sight of the ball.
01:13
Taking a peek, I'm looking too early.
01:16
Lost sight of the ball.
01:17
What's really nice about this,
01:19
you can hit balls with this on the range.
01:21
I recommend hitting five to ten balls with them on.
01:24
Then take the lenses off, or excuse me take the glasses off,
01:27
hit five or ten balls normally and you're going to see
01:29
pretty quickly that a reduction in head movement will
01:33
result in more consistent contact.
01:35
So if too much head movement,
01:38
either going back or coming through,
01:40
is one of your swing faults,
01:42
I recommend the StanceCheck iZone.
