(upbeat music)

What piece of his game would I not mind having?
00:11
Well first of all-- Certainly not this part.
00:13
(laughing) First of all,
00:15
I would love to have had the 6'4.
00:18
I mean his arc is huge.
00:20
I mean I had a pretty big arc,
00:22
I was six foot when I was playing.
00:24
I've shrunk since then,
00:25
but could you imagine having been 6'4
00:28
and having the arc that I had.
00:30
It would've, the longevity that it would've given me,
00:34
would've been something else.
00:37
Have to be his long arms.
00:38
The way he hits a 6, 5, 4 iron
00:42
as high and as soft as he lands it
00:44
and never leaves a flag.
00:47
I think that's, I love watching him hit long irons.
00:50
I would say his ability to focus
00:53
absolutely 100% when he needs to focus 100%.
00:56
And make the swing he needs to make.
00:59
He could just dial in when he needed to
01:01
and boom, he hit it.
01:03
Really the visualization, picturing the shot.
01:06
I mean he was always about that positive imagery
01:09
of seeing the shot you're gonna hit
01:11
and then letting it go.
01:13
He can chip and lob chip
01:15
as well as anyone I've ever seen in my life.
01:17
He can hit this lob chips
01:18
and it goes back to him chipping around the garden
01:20
when getting his dog to retrieve the ball.
01:22
That's honestly actually how I started playing.
01:24
Yeah. (laughing)
01:25
I started chipping the tennis ball in the backyard
01:27
with my dog.
01:27
And she would run and get it and bring it back to me.
01:29
Yeah.
01:30
What I'd like to take from Drew's game,
01:32
I'd like to have had it back in the 80s and 90s too,
01:35
is that cocky confidence with a putter.
01:37
You know when you're a kid
01:38
you always putt with reckless abandon.
01:40
Now he's gotten a confidence in his putting
01:43
but he still puts aggressively and I love the way he
01:46
hits the ball, knocks the ball in the hole.
01:47
Like Tom Watson, it's always confident
01:49
and wham into the back.
01:51
And I think that would be something
01:52
that would benefit my game certainly.
01:55
My father's my role model.
01:57
He is the example of how I think I should process things
02:01
and carry myself.
02:03
I can reflect on a conversation I had with my dad one time.
02:06
I said how do you make decisions,
02:09
'cause it seems like you always make
02:11
really well thought out decisions.
02:14
He said I always try to treat people
02:16
like I would wanna be treated.
02:17
He said, You know I feel like I'm a guy
02:20
that's been a little bit more lucky than the next guy
02:23
to make a few extra putts.
02:24
As a result of that, you know people listen to me.
02:28
Very humbling statement
02:29
for somebody that has been so successful.
02:32
To me it just put a perspective on where he sees himself.
02:35
And he never saw himself above anybody else.
02:39
Just like the next guy or lady next to him,
02:43
but he always treated people fairly.
02:46
And I think that resonates when I think of that.
