When you're swinging a golf club, obviously your hands
00:04
are holding on to the club, they're attached to your arms,
00:07
your arms are attached to your shoulders,
00:09
but your stance can make a big difference in how
00:11
your body moves and positions you to hit a shot.
00:15
There's a couple little adjustments you can make
00:17
that'll make it easier for you to swing the golf club.
00:20
Number one, if you have a tendency to slice the golf ball
00:24
or if you're trying to intentionally hit a shot
00:27
that draws from right to left
00:29
if you're a right handed player,
00:30
I would say turn your left foot just a little bit in
00:33
so that it's turned out just ever so slightly,
00:36
and turn the right foot out a little bit more.
00:39
What this does is it helps your hips to turn
00:41
a little more in the backswing, gets you more
00:43
to the inside, and makes it easier for you
00:46
to get the hips to slide forward as you come through
00:49
which drops the club more to the inside.
00:51
If you have a tendency to hook the golf ball
00:54
or you wanna play an intentional fade,
00:56
put your back foot straighter, turn your front foot out.
01:00
And what that does is it makes it more restrictive
01:03
in your backswing, with your hip turned, and makes
01:05
it easier to turn your hips coming through,
01:07
the more the body leads, the more the club face
01:09
is gonna stay square.
01:11
So if you wanna draw the ball or fix your slice,
01:16
left toe in a little, right toe out.
01:18
If you wanna fade it or fix your hook,
01:21
right foot straight, left foot turned out.
01:24
Those little adjustments will make it a lot easier
01:26
to hit the shot you're trying to play.
