What I think is really forgotten in putting

is that although we see people working on their shoulder

movement and trying to control the track of the putter

with their hands and arms, really,

that's really in my opinion is not what controls the putter.

What should control the putter is your body.

It's very much like the swing itself.

You know like my favorite saying,

golf really is the dog wags the tail.

So in the golf swing it's like okay the bigger muscles

work the smaller muscles if you will.

The body works the hands and the arms.

And the same thing here.

So if you are actually, here's a little exercise you can do.

You just clasp your hands like so.

Get into your posture position.

Put it across your navel, your belly button there.

And keeping your knees nice and stiff.

You don't want a lot of rocking and rolling going on

down there.

You wanna keep your knees nice and stable.

Keep your, feel the pressure through your feet

on the ground.

And then just simply rock your core back and forward.

And the amazing thing is if I do that,

my shoulders automatically move.
