[Announcer] Jordan Spieth, Masters champion.
00:05
Now if we look at Jordan's backswing, it's a
00:08
pretty classical backswing position from this angle.
00:12
He gets the left wrist a little bowed
00:14
and the club face hangs very open,
00:16
which means that he's got a very weak grip,
00:19
in other words, his left hand is very weak.
00:21
But, great length to his backswing,
00:23
beautiful start to his downswing,
00:24
lower body leads, we can see upper body follows,
00:27
great angle retention, and interesting
00:30
how he has a little bit of a bend with his left arm.
00:32
In my opinion, that's just to keep
00:33
the club face square through the ball.
00:35
And we can see, there's not really any wrist hinge
00:37
up in to the finish.
00:38
So, good full extension, and really the club only
00:41
un-hinges, shall we say, or re-hinges
00:43
at the very, very finish.
00:45
I think Jordan's trying to hit
00:46
a little bit of a face here, had an upper body set
00:48
that's a little open.
00:49
Really good angles, the way he stands to the ball,
00:52
we can see at the top of the backswing,
00:54
definitely a little bow with the wrists.
00:56
Club face hangs great, though, and look at that bounce
00:59
into the finish.
01:00
It's a calm swing, it's a swing
01:02
that doesn't get out of pace, out of rhythm.
01:04
And I think this is the thing
01:06
that really stands in the good step.
