We've all heard the phrase let the club do the work,
00:05
but it is so true when you're around the green
00:08
trying to hit those soft, high pitch shots,
00:10
so if you're guilty of scooping the ball,
00:12
blading the ball, and hitting fat shots around the green,
00:15
try this to quiet your hands down.
00:18
Practice and learn how it feels
00:20
to have what I call dead hands.
00:22
Set up with the wedge in front of you,
00:24
grip it, and then lift the club a couple feet in the air,
00:26
and just gently, almost as if your right-hand fingers
00:29
could come off the grip as you're gonna let it fall down,
00:32
allow the club to drop, so that gravity makes it free-fall.
00:36
Try it again, up and down,
00:38
and just see the club and feel the club
00:40
just falling with your hands and arms together.
00:43
Then try it in a regular back-swing,
00:45
lift the club up, let it fall,
00:47
and as it's falling, just finish it with a little body turn.
00:50
Put it on the golf ball, and I think that this will
00:52
really help you let the club do the work.
