If you wanna learn how to break 80,
00:15
one thing that you gotta do
00:17
is be able to shape your tee shots.
00:18
And the shape that I see most players struggle with
00:20
is the draw.
00:24
The first thing you've gotta understand is,
00:26
how am I going to get the face closed to the path
00:28
that I'm swinging on?
00:29
A really simple sensation
00:30
I like to give players to feel that,
00:32
up at the top of your swing, I want you to focus
00:34
on the logo on your grip.
00:36
As you're starting down, I want you to feel like
00:38
the logo on the grip, instead of facing me,
00:39
is going to face away.
00:41
You're going to get that Dustin Johnson look
00:42
with the bowed wrist, and that's what gets the face
00:45
closed to the path that I'm swinging on,
00:47
and that's what creates the leftward curve.
00:49
And at first, those are probably pull hooks
00:51
as you calibrate exactly how much of this to feel,
00:55
and hopefully those left shots encourage you to swing
00:57
a little bit more out and up on these,
00:59
so you start to get shots that start to the right
01:01
and then curve back to your target,
01:02
hopefully like this.
