When you're trying to hit a high, soft spinning shot,
00:07
whether you're in the bunker, or you have a horrible
00:09
lie in thick grass, the key is understanding speed,
00:13
and I have two tips for ya.
00:14
First off, is how you generate it.
00:17
You wanna create lower body stability
00:19
and you wanna get the speed with your arms
00:21
and the club passing your lower body.
00:24
That's opposite of full swing where you
00:26
generate speed through your hips.
00:28
So, create stability
00:29
and secondly, you gotta get the speed in the right place.
00:32
You wanna start slowly.
00:34
Pick up speed as you go and maximum speed should
00:37
be out here in front of the ball.
00:39
That'll give ya a nice, crisp thump
00:41
and acceleration through the thick grass
00:43
that should look something like this.
00:47
(tinks)
00:49
So, you can see, if you can get the speed
00:51
in the right place and maintain lower body
00:53
stability, it's easy to hit high, soft spinning shots
00:56
whether it's a horrible lie in thick grass
00:59
or out of the sand.
