Alright, I have that awkward in-between wedge shot
00:07
that a lot of people hate.
00:09
They have trouble with their contacts.
00:11
Let's say it's half your normal yardage.
00:13
Perhaps 50, 60, 70 yards.
00:16
And the common mistake I see is that people take
00:19
it back too far and then if they really use their
00:21
body efficiently it would go over the green.
00:25
So what they do is they just kind of quit on it,
00:28
stall out and they don't get the lateral shift
00:30
they need to pitch and compress the ball.
00:32
So do this instead.
00:35
Set up, take a shorter swing.
00:37
Make sure you use your feet to shift into
00:39
the stick and then as you swing through
00:42
you cover the ball with your trail side.
00:45
It should look something like this.
00:47
Nice and short, use your body to help
00:49
compress the ball.
00:56
That'll make that awkward shot
00:58
a thing of the past.
